E & B Auto Repair is a California Certified Green Station, certified by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (https://www.dtsc.ca.gov/), the only such shop on the coast. Beyond Green Certification, E & B Auto Repair is a Solar-Powered shop, one of only a handful in the State of California. In January 2014, E & B Auto Repair became the CoolCalifornia Small Business of the Year, awarded by the California Air Resources Board ( https://www.arb.ca.gov/newsrel/newsrelease.php?id=563). E & B Auto Repair is a family owned business dating back to 1979. Owners: Michael and Mary Ann Margulis moved to the Fort Bragg area in the ’70’s after vacationing there several times before, and with more than 10 years experience as an auto technician then, they decided to stay and build a business based on quality work and customer service that has carried them through over 48 years in the business to-date.
Test their superior service the next time you have an automotive maintenance or repair need, and we know you will agree that they are different from most. They definitely care about you and your car or truck, and go out of their way to keep your automobile running safe and reliably.
Our Environmental Mission & Vision:
We believe that since automakers have cleaned up their cars (in regard to fuel mileage and exhaust emissions), the auto repair process should be cleaned up, too. Everyone at E&B Auto strives to reduce our environmental impact in multiple ways, to recycle and reuse what we can, and source replacement parts and supplies locally first. We use a self-charging solar-electric NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) for our around-town errands. In addition, more than 100% of our electrical power comes from the Sun. What all of this means for you, is that when we service your car, you are being green, too. Our list of environmental initiatives and improvements is posted in our office.
We intend to set the standard for local auto repair shops to follow our green example, and to keep improving our processes.
Mike and Mary Ann Margulis have owned E&B Auto Repair 45 years, and Mike has more than 50 years of auto repair and smog check experience.
Our lead technician, Eric Lotten, has many years of experience in a broad spectrum of auto repair. He has worked on everything from small engines, cars, trucks, vans, all the way up to big-rig trucks. Eric and his family are long time residents of Fort Bragg.
